The Physicians Weight Loss Center Nurse acts as a liaison between you and the Center Physician by implementing the medical directions to help ensure you are receiving the best possible weight loss care.
He/She may be an R.N., L.P.N., or L.V.N., and have a license in venipuncture, depending on state requirements. The nurse is actively involved in administering EKG tests for clients according to established procedures, monitoring baseline vital signs, performing blood tests, and helping review food lists and meal plans. The Center Nurse is also responsible for administering our EMC tablets, Multi-Vitamin Supplements and Potassium Supplements to clients on the appropriate days. These exclusive supplements are specially formulated to help ensure you are getting your daily requirement of 12 vitamins and minerals essential to good health and proper weight loss. Center Nurses also administer Vitamin B-12 injections once a week on Mondays to eligible clients. As a courtesy, the Center Nurse may also establish a close working relationship with your personal Physician, if requested, to help ensure that you receive the best possible care when it comes to weight loss. In addition, nurses may also assist with weighing in and measuring clients, counseling, and performing Body Composition Analyses. They also assist in conducting classes on behavioral guidance and dieting.
